Frequently Asked Questions

  • We welcome anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus or is looking for a Christian community to belong to. If you are new, you are very welcome to join us for our Sunday services at 9:30am and 5:30pm. You may also find it helpful to join some of our community programs that run during the school terms.

  • Our AM Service starts at 9:30am and our PM Service starts at 5:30pm every Sunday. Please allow time for parking and for walking from the carpark or public transport. We encourage you to arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in, and to stick around afterwards to get to know people at church—over morning tea after the AM Service or dinner after the PM Service.

  • Church at MBC is relaxed, welcoming, and centred on Jesus. Each service includes music, prayer, Bible readings, sharing of church news and a practical sermon that helps us understand God’s word for everyday life.

You’ll see people of different ages and cultures worshipping together. Some like to chat before the service, others prefer to settle quietly—both are completely okay.

After the service, we enjoy time together over morning tea (AM) or dinner (PM). You’re welcome to stay, ask questions, or simply observe at your own pace.

  • There’s no dress code at MBC. So just come as you are. Most people dress casually and comfortably. Whether you’re in jeans, a dress, or work clothes, you’ll fit right in.

  • You are very welcome at MBC. We love having people from all backgrounds, cultures, and stages of faith journeying with us. You don’t need to be a Christian or have any church experience to attend—just come as you are.

There’s no pressure to participate in anything you’re not comfortable with. You’re free to listen, observe, ask questions, or explore faith at your own pace. Many people in our community started out exactly the same way.

Whether you’re curious, seeking, or simply visiting, we’re glad you’re here and hope you feel at home among us.
